X1 64-bit, keyboard latency problem

I just setup a new PC with Windows 7 64-bit and scarlett 2i2 (usb). I plug my yamaha keyboard to USB and I get a very marked latency between what I hear on the keyboard vs what I hear on the PC monitors. Tried WDM, Asio, ASIO4ALL with the lowest settings (5ms). No luck. However, when i close sonar and play dimension pro standalone, there is absolutely no latency with both WDM and ASIO. So apparently Sonar is causing the delay. Not sure if there are any settings to be tweaked to get this right.
Additional info..
i7 3770 , 8gb RAM, Asus p8z77 vlx.
Scarlett and keyboard drivers are up to date.

This forum has always been super helpful. Thanks in advance !!

Are you using any effects that us PDC (plugin delay compensation). If so, turn them off while tracking.

Yes it was the LP64 sitting on the master channel that was causing the latency problem.I dnt know if  i can do smethng with the plug in itself but for now the problem is solved ! Thnks  a lot !

Virtual Instuments won't use PDC. But some effects do. Pretty sure they are usually considered mastering plugins that use a look ahead process which needs PDC to do the look ahead thing. It's by design, nothing you can do besides turn them off while tracking. You might want to temporarily replace them while tracking with the Sonitus plugs.

Also, just thought I'd mention, though it sounds like its not causing any problems, but if your audio interface provides ASIO or WDM drivers asio4all is not needed or desired. More then likely ASIO would be a good driver to use.

Since this appears to be solved for you, perhaps you could edit the first post of your thread here, and add something like 'Solved' to the subject line.

This would let folks know that the issue was resolved, prior to them investing time and effort at reading through the posts of the thread, thinking that you still need assistance with this.

PLEASE ignore all of the Q's above.  I just fell asleep at the keyboard for a moment, and thought after I jolted back awake that you guys might like to know if my light bulb goes off when my refrigerator door is closed.  It apparently DOES.  :)

(Edited) - there were a LOT more Q's in my post - the forum software must know when we are sleeping, and removed the bulk of them as repeating characters.  (Stalker software!) :)
