Burning To Disc problems

Hi, I am 13 and a fairly new user to sonar x1 le. I seem to be getting around the general program itself, but have hit a brick wall when I go to burn to disc. Every time I add a song to the burn list, a message says " need to be bit depth 16". Have I missed something, or would someone be patient and give me some hints.  Thanks Reuben

    Welcome to the forum!
The only format accepted for CD is 44,1 kHz/16 bit. Your songs are propably recorded in 24 bit.
You need to export the songs into 44,1 kHz/16 bits. And if you have used 48 kHz sampling rate, use dithering when exporting.

EDIT. Dithering is needed to lower the bit depth from 24 to 16 with good quality, not because of the sampling rate conversion.
