Oooooh....first mix on new monitors!
Recorded with at4050, sm57, and an MXL SP1...into stock pres on a Mackie Satellite. Drums are the audiomidi SSD no braner deal. I did add live bongos, shaker, and tamb though. Piano it stock plug. I just got new monitors Friday (equator d5)...finished this mix last night I was struggling for months with on my last set (MSP 7). I'm very pleased with the results and "Can't Wait" to share it...lol, sorry! http://soundcloud.com/ron-vogel/cant-wait

Really nice sounding Ron. Missing some very top around 10K here. Bottom is full and punchy. Maybe a tiny push at 4K? Anyway, great arrangement and playing. Rimshot

Those new monitors must really be something. I like this song and the performances. Your voice has a very mellow quality that I like. You are definitely getting the most from your gear.

Thanks so much for all the comments...I am definately jazzed about these little monitors. I wasn't very excited when I first heard them to be honest. My old monitors had much better resoultion...however it seems to be a good thing. Been struggling with dry mixes, the resolution thing was a blessing in diguise for that. I am finally glad to move on from this tune, and tackle the umpteen others I have half-started!
