help with Waves v9.2 install [Solved]

Hi:  I am having trouble scanning Waveshell v 9.2.  I recently purchased REDD, Maserati ACG and CLA Unplugged.  I downloaded the Waves v9.2 installer and checked the plugins I already had plus the three new ones.  After it installed, I went to scan them in Sonar X2a.  When it gets to the Waveshell 9.2 it hangs, and hangs and I get "not responding".  This hanging is happening in the Waveshell 9.2 in the 32bit folder.  Can I just skip the scanning of that folder if I only use 64bit Waves vsts?

I did not uninstall v9.1 first.  Should I have unistalled it first?

Also, I run Win7x64 and Sonar X2a 64bit.  As I mentioned above, do I need to scan the Waveshell in the x86 (32bit) folder also, or can I just scan the one in the C:Program Files/vstplugins (my 64bit vst folder)?

I think I will try uninstalling and then reinstall?

Any suggestions

    I have Waves installed in Win7 x64 with 32b & 64b  plugins.
I know some of had installation issues but since I never have & don't know what the cause is I'll just mention my folder setup so you can compare.
I have the typical setup; x64 vst plugin folder in 'Program Files' & the x86 vst plugin folder in 'Programs Files(86)'.

I have a separate 'waves' folder in the 'Program Files (86)' where the Waves Shell-VST9.2.dll is installed.

You don't need to remove older versions but with your issues I'd do a remove/install. Make sure you make copies of  your user presets xps  files.
I use the WOLI online installer which works well for me.
I can remove & re-install the entire Mercury bundle while I'm having breakfast or taking a break. Individual plugins should take a about a minute or two depending on the size, reverb ir's ect. take longer.

Thanks Carl.  I uninstalled and reinstalled and got it almost all working again.  All but one plugin is activated.  I had to make sure that the "waves" folder in "program Files (86)" was included in the path for scanning.  I just am scanning the 64bit folder and that waves folder where the WavesShell is found.

HOWEVER, now my Maserati ACG plugin is no longer showing anywhere in "my products".  I registered it lsat Friday, but now it is totally gone from my account.  It is not in my cloud or in my usb zip drive or anywhere in my account.  It just disappeared.  I tired re-registering it, but the serial number is now showing as "invalid".  All the other Waves products are working and showing up, but Maserati ACG has disappeared.

So, I just sent Waves Tech support an email.  They are closed right now, but I suspect they will be able to get the Maserati ACG re-registered.

Thanks again for helping.  I am on the right path.

Waves Support came through and helped as I expected they would!  I had an email from Waves when I woke up today that sorted the registration out.  Don't know why I had this hiccup with it loosing its registration, but it was probably my fault when I had trouble installing yesterday.  Once I tried it again this morning everything went smoothly with the Waves Licensing Center and I got the license transferred to my USB memory stick.  I had to run the Waves Downloader v9.2 again and then rescan in Sonar.  But now all my Waves products are showing and I decided only to scan the 64 bit version and they are showing up fine in Sonar X2a.

This was my first encounter with Waves Support and they were quick and helpful.  Of course this is related to registering a product that was just purchased and was therefore under the WUP.
