Midi and Audio is working together?

Midi and Audio is working together?

i guess it is possible
but i cant run it together...
when i choose Playback / Recording ---- WDM/KS  i can record only audio and i cant see any midi devices input and output...
when i choose Playback / Recording ---- ASIO i can record only midi and i cant see any audio devices input and output...
how can i solve this?
my laptop: Windows 8, x64

    Welcome to the forum!
    Please, be a little more specific in what you're trying to do. What software specifically are you using? What have you connected to where trying to record? 
    What interface are you using? If you're struggling with laptops integrated soundcard, you'll get grey in the hair.
    The integrated chips don't support ASIO, usually.
    It is perfectly possible to record and monitor MIDI and audio simultaneously.

    are you referring to recording/playback timing masters in the Options dialogue or what? If so, have you selected your interface for both rec and playback?

    yes, i tried to use with onboard sound card realtek...
    and when i choose MM2, i could get two record as normal (midi and audio together)
    but i know i have to get a sound card and microphone... so i bought Focusrite 2i4 and Rode NT1-A for starting somethings...
