help please. how to export a midi track (external workstation) to audio track

Hi. And Please excuse my english. I use sonar x1 producer to send midi data to my korg workstation. When i use a vst and want to export a midi track to an audio track I use the frozen track function. But when I want to make this process with my external workstation wich is recieving midi data from sonar I have to create an audio track, and record the midi track in real time. Any help to make this process fast and easier? Thanks in advance and please excuse my english.

Your English is fine, and no, I don't believe there's a quicker way than what you're currently doing.

Your Korg probably has a removable media slot, so you can save your Korg MIDI song to there as a SMF (standard MIDI file) Type 1, and then take that to your computer and import the SMF to Sonar.

Does your Korg Workstation support importing midi files from your computer?  My Yamaha digital piano allows me to transfer midi files back and forth, through the USB connection.

Perhaps if you exported the midi file, as noted above by Mr Jonesey, this would give you a quicker path to the midi data on the work station.

The above is speculation, but might be worth your checking your user doc for the work station to see what it can import for midi.
