    dude, i love this arrangement

    love the singing performance

but the drum track annoys the hell out of me.
you need some real swinging drums on this, seriously, the drum track only detracts.

the performance is too good to settle.
get busy hunting down a drummer to add tracks.

For some reason, some SoundCloud songs will not play for me.  Everything appears right but when I click on PLAY, the player stays at 0:00,  This sounds good, will try again later.

    dan,
for my trouble album, i used Brent Dacus, via Mike Musgrove..

i don't think he is supplying supporting drum tracks anymore.

the way i do my drums now, is using Toontracks Superior Drummer, or Sony Acid.

i have done collabs with other individuals who have access to live drums, i know some guys at the planet use Pete Generous and he does a great job...

as i said before, great music and vocal tracks..... needs equally great drum tracks to make that version rise to its proper status.

    Gonz,

This is using one of the 2 drum modules that came with SONAR X2a.  I don't remember which.  I also have BFD2, which I have had trouble loading up since going to Win7  X2 and gave up for now.  When I get that going I will redo the drum tracks and try to swing it a little more.  I'm thinking brushes, too, might be better.

I used to be a fairly competent drummer on the '70s.  I'd love to get some V-Drums or the like and get those chops back someday.

Dan, beautiful job on this! I especially liked your cover of "Bring It On Home To Me". That's always been one of my favorite Cooke songs.

That worked!  A very early 60s vibe on the mix.  I would like to hear a little more keys.   Nicely done, I enjoyed that.

Nice arrangement of Bring It on Home to Me also!

Nice clear clean mix with outstanding vocals. Sounds like it could have been tracked right after Elvis left the studio on the same day even.Who says a DAW can't sound nostalgic?  Nice.

The high hat may be a bit present in the mix, I would pull it back a bit. The vocals are great! And everything else IMO. Classic music, good job.

Sittin downtown in a railway station one toke over the line.
