Looking forward...
to hearing this. As a guitarist I can appreciate it. Roy Nichols was without doubt a picker to pay attention to...IMO. YMMV. Made a good some of money playing these old tunes and to the point of not caring if I ever heard them again...but hearing good pickers do them will be cool. (should've mention Don Rich too...)

Yeah...hearing what Vince does to some of the classic picking is going to be cool but I'm really looking forward to hearing steel guitar work that I know will be second to none. I may have to build me a steel guitar LOL.

It ain't happened yet. ;-) But I gotta tell ya, Amazon sold me the CD for $9.99 and threw in mp3 streaming so I've listened to it 4x today and it just gets better and better. Amazingly I don't really notice the 6 string or the slide cause the songs are so sublime that there's nothing to notice. The vocals are the standout to my ear. Vince is Channeling Buck or something. Thanks for the hot tip Spacey! PS, I like light colored woods and "blonde" finishes. Just saying. :-)

LOL Ed.....not gonna happen. Even if I got a milling machine I don't think I could handle that. Mike the music stole the show for me. I can do without VGs singing but man the instrument work and sound quality from the CD is just most excellent to my ears. If one wanted to hear old style country done up first class...this one can deliver.

I got my CD last night! It was also our mp3 soundtrack for the weekend up in Moultrie, which is sort of like the Bakersfield of southern Georgia. :-)

Bakersfield is one of those places I always hurried to get through and not stop in.... Same with Stockton, Modesto and Lodi......

If that's the case... I should emphasize that my comparison to Moultire was a reference to it's similarities as an agriculture industry crossroads. Colquitt county has the largest production of ag of any county in Georgia. :-)

Mike I think these days Bakersfield is the crossroads of the meth traffic between southern and Northern California....... Oh and Raisins...
