Help Wanted ! (no pay, though Sonar X2- no sounds for audio metronome?

I've installed the upgrade to X2. Unlike previous installs, this started from square one.
I've had to assign my MIDI and USB Ports.
I got the Mackie Control working now.
What I can't get is sound out of the Metronome. There is no option to select the 'ping' sound, in fact it's a blank menu.
Is there a known solution?
Is there a way to import all preferences from X1 after the fact? (or should I uninstall and try again?)
It's not like I'm a total newbie, going back to Sonar 3.
But would sorely appreciate any help.

(on an old PC to be updgraded XP 32 bit Core 2 duo @ 2.6 gig with, I think, 4 gig of Ram.)

    Try the X1 and X2 Forum. This is the older version forum.
