beginners question, drums

Hi, I would like to know how to make drums sound "epic", i ve tried playing with reverb but there s no way i can get the sounds i want, the kind of drums audiomachine uses for instance

    Epic sounding drums..... that's a tall order.
     
    Not impossible though. You need good quality samples, the proper programming so they sound like they are played by a professional and not a drum machine, the right compression, EQ, and reverb, and you start to get into the ballpark.

    I'm not sure if this helps...but are you using the Drum kits included with MC6? I've noticed that turning up the Compress knob in some of the kits makes them sound more powerful -- or "epic", as you ask. Creates a very heavy effect for a more magnificent thud...
