I need Bapu's advice...

I'm trying to do a shameless plug but I'm not sure how to go about it like the experts.

I'm wondering to I use the 'permalink' feature to link direct to the post like this?;

http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2877197

Perhaps I should link to the URL that appears in the address bar for the thread like this?;

http://forum.cakewalk.com/The-Bouy-Emma-cover-m2877197.aspx

Maybe the best way is to use a text link which simply says go here or here

What would Bapu do?

TIA

I worked 16 hours yesterday with a hi maintenance crew... then when I got home I never got a good deep sleep.

I barely woke up today... and I certainly can't think straight.

Yet, I jumped at the chance to hear your new tune.

Glad I did.

:-)

Thanks Mike I appreciate it.

I liked the comments on the vocal, I get you totally with that, I'm at a stage now where I'm kind of using a vocal synth behind my voice which gives it a kind of ADT sound but trust me it's still better presently than my unpitched, uncorrected voice although the more I do of these things the less likely I am to need the stabilisers on my bike.

It's like by the time you finished with a tune you are familiar with enought to treat it right but the last thing you feel like doing is re-taking the whole thing which would be the best idea really.

Maybe I'll give it a re-take after I've not been listening to it over and over again in a week or two's time.

I'm loving the Spacey pick-ups I put on my guitar though, they have turned it into that recording tool I was after, and that weird vintage fuzz-face type sound wouldn't have happened unless I was getting the right kind of output from the axe.  It's really versatile for sound design purposes which is what I was after that Michael understood so well when he wound them bad boys up.

that made me smile-am working on final mixes for some new songs and each time I hear what the song could evolve into i want to start again.
one of the downsides to modern daw`s is the ability to endlessly rework material.
some of you will remember committing to tape where the takes counted and at the end of the session that`s what you lived with.
 I wonder how artists deal with a painting-when is it finished?

Edvard Munch used to do that until it got to the point he couldn't sleep at night.

I don't think you need Bapu's advice.  It looks like you've mastered the art and the Zen of the shameless plug.  Nice track, too.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?
