Tone2 Firebird - now free

Hey!

Dunno if you've seen this, but Tone2 have just made their FireBird freeware. It was launched back in 2006 and is 32-bit only. But I couldn't pass on a free Tone2 offering and it seems to be working excellent with both jBridge and BitBridge here.

And it's a great synth. Well worth the download.

    Thanks Maurice!!
I've never had any of Tone2's VST's, but only heard good things about their stuff. I'll definitely be checking this out.

Head over to Xenos sounds, they're giving away their 'Decay' soundset for it. Also, if you buy a sound set for another synth (like Z3ta or others) they give the other Firebird soundset with it. Good sounds and very reasonably priced. (especially considering the free ones).

    Also agreed. Thanks!

    The demo samples sound great.

Cool! Will check out the soundsets!

I'm still very happy with this synth. It's really cool! Just wish it was 64-bit but for the price, this is killer value!

I agree also, I just DLed it.

    Thanx for the heads up.

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

It has some energetic sounds. Great to have as another variety element.

It's also interesting and fun to shape the sounds. It has some older style settings that are quirky but provide interesting serendipity.

I haven't yet found a way to save a combo where I like what I've set.

So I've started saving my experimental good ones as track templates in Sonar. That's working fine.
