What the Genie Could not Grant

There is one wish that even the genie you released from a bottle found in the Arabian sands can not grant you. You may watch her dance, but you may not touch.

Nice tone and the mix sounds open, which is good.

My ears heard lots of sync and timing issues between the instruments.  Yes?

Some rhythmic issues, but other than that I like the production and the theme of the song.  That's some heavy flange!

I'm not a very good Doumbek player, and I think that's where the rhythmic issues are. Plus I recorded it last after I played to a scratch drum track. I remember fighting between the stiffness of the scratch track and the live drums and bass.

I have not run into any decent sounding Doumbek samples; they all sound like someone slapping a cardboard box and you can hardly tell the difference between a dum and a tek.
