Specific Take Lane Issue

I don't want to join the whole Take Lane fray, but I have a specific issue.  This is in X2a Producer with Windows 7
I have multiple takes for a single track and I have split each take lane up into a number of clips in preparation for comping the track.  When I drag a clip with the mouse, either to the left or to the right, the clips in the lanes above and below the one I am dragging will disappear and I will have to use the 'undo' command to get them back (but that also undoes the drag of the clip I intended).  I can prevent this by either 'locking position' or 'locking data' of the clips in the other lanes but this requires several clicks both before and after if I want to do any editing on those other lanes.

Is there an easier way to prevent this loss of adjoining Take Lane content?  Has anybody else had this issue?

I have had the exact issue (and other similar issues with splitting, moving and pasting).  I think it's one of the many bugs in take lanes, especially with Win 7.  Win 8 users seem to have less trouble with this.
