The bass is up front to far and affecting my clearly hearing the vocals except for the chorus lines. Other than that it sounds OK. I would suggest setting the base back 2db and bring the vocals up 1db. This is just my opinion based on what I'm hearing on my end. Hope that this is helpful. Peace and Blessings, John

Gentlemen, I think I've listened to most, if not all, of the songs you've posted here over the last year or so. I've come to the conclusion that you're improving with each mix, and that you have a unique sound and style that is definitely retro. Elvis Costello comes to mind with that particular organ sound. The one thing that caught my attention was the label "traditional country" on the Soundcloud site. I have no idea where that idea comes from. Anyway, I've noticed that I've rarely, if ever, seen you respond to anyone else's music here, and that may be why you aren't getting much response to your music. We are all here to help each other, and I'm sure many would like to hear from you because you obviously have talent. Best of luck in the future.

Hi Lynn, Thanks for the kind words + all your advice on each previous song which was always noted, appreciated, if not acknowledged. At heart we are probably 'traditional country' trying to write some solid home-truth songs but our sound ends up a sort of retro-pop. Check-out one of our favourites - David James https://myspace.com/davidmjames/music/song/hank-on-the-radio-44576106-47582868?play=1 We do listen to a lot of other people's work on the forum + if we could get to sound like Timidi's on the mike would be happier. Maybe one day we'll be as 'beautiful as you' and the rest of the team but in the meantime we'll feedback more as suggested. Thanks again. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11309370

This sounds like something from the 60s to me, with the heavily modulated organ arpeggios and simple mix, but that's not a bad thing. Country music is mostly about the drum beat. Hank Williams would have had more swing to the rhythm and less rigidity (if you want to go for something country sounding). Start with a swing beat and start jamming over that if you want to make country music. :) Anyway, Working Class Chancer is an interesting song idea, and your performances are mostly pretty good (although there are some small timing issues here and there - maybe some re-takes, or possibly fix/quantize a few notes in Sonar?). I've never used it before, but maybe this can help - http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X2&Lang=EN&Req=AudioSnap.14.html Production is pretty solid overall. Good stuff - keep at it!

I like this song. Very UKish( and I like that) sounding to me. With the high male vocal and the simple but effective instrumental parts. I like a simple and not overly processed sound.
