Pre sales confusion....

I finally found the perfect product for my recording requirements!! :-)
 
The V-Studio 20 has it all and I was just about to purchase until....
 
I am a Mac OS user :-(
 
I have searched Google for answers but not really found anything conclusive to whether I can use the V-Studio AND software on my Mac OS 10.6.8
 
I have asked my reseller and he tells me that it won't work at all... But I have also seen that the V-Studio DOES work on Mac. The I see that some software doesnt run on Mac... Guitar Tracks?
 
I guess my question is... And I have watched various videos on YT...
 
How much will I lose of the functionality using a Mac, IF it's possible to use a Mac?
