I hear IK Multimedia has some temporary filler for that problem of flatness. Some say it's all hot air, though.

We used to have....how cold is it sayings back where I grew up in Minnesota. My favorite was, " It's so cold, I had to chisel a dog off my front tire."

Now that's cold. Where I came from they used to say ...cold as a witches ( top parts) in a brass brassiere. I'm not sure how cold that is and I'm not sure I want to know. The mental imagery is scary.

Round these here parts, it's said to be "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey"

We just refer to it by saying "as cold as a summer in England."
