I can see little good coming from what is undoubtedly an ill considered hostile takeover of this troubled entity. Sources report that they expect a rebranding as Puba Enterprises, in order to disentangle the acquisition from its unsavory reputation as an unreliable purveyor of internet claptrap. If The Bapu can manage to shed the stigma of the Coffeehouse association, and rehabilitate the tarnished image of this once great musical and philosophical powerhouse, perhaps they will be able to interest Gibson into taking it off their hands. If so then the precipitous fall in The Bapu stock on the announcement may be only a temporary setback.
