Drawing CC Data With A Graphics Tablet In PRV

I'm using Sonar X2 Producer

Has anyone tried using a tablet to draw in CC data or After Touch in the PRV window?

I have the Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch Small which will plot individual flags but I can't draw a continous shape.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure one of the forum regulars, Mike McCue uses, or has used one of these.

    Interesting idea! :)
I have an Intous4.. Must try this out

I can't see why this wouldn't be possible(?)
Since you can draw automation with the mouse and you can use a wacom board as a mouse (simply put), why wouldn't it be?
Or have you thought of something I haven't?

Yes, you can do that. Just turn off Snap To Grid and you can then draw controllers freely.

Hello Scott, I have already done that. I've made a little progress so here's the present situation:

    * I can draw the data perfectly with the mouse as a continuous line.
    * I can draw the data perfectly with the Intuos with my finger on the pad.
    * I can't draw the data as a continuous line with the pencil .. just individual flags.

When I try dragging the pencil across, even with the pencil icon showing, it just scrolls the page. Even trying to get the pencil icon is hit and miss and I just keep trying everything until it eventually appears.

There must be a way .. I'm missing something.

Not sure. I can draw with the pencil here and I'm not doing anything special.

This is a brilliant idea for drawing all that CC1 data in for my LA scoring strings etc. The mouse is a bit flaky in my hands...... Oh the curves I could draw...
