New Installer Letting Go Of The Past

Thumbs up to Cakewalk for streamlining the X3 installer by getting rid of all those antiquated (Cyclone, Psyn II, etc. notwithstanding) legacy plugins!

Here's to moving forward ;)

Of course, when you move to a new machine, it will make installing a single version of SONAR that can open older projects a bit more complicated.

Would it be useful if we provided a "Legacy Cakewalk Plugins" installer?

Oh yeah, that would help. How would that work since things came in at different times? I guess it would just be the difference between X2 and X3.

I would think that would be very useful to have in that scenario.

It would only include plugins that we retain the right to distribute and were shipped with X2 but removed from X3.

Yeah it would help. Not just new machines but clean installs too. Especially for those that work off download installers. Would that include V-Vocal and R-Mix?

    thanks

I did not think it would. A legacy plug-in installer still might be useful but without R-Mix less so. Now, if you guys could refactor the X2 installers....
