Pre Sonar X Series legacy project color issue

Opened a Sonar 7 or 8 project in X3 and colored a bus channel.
 
I expected the tracks that are assigned to that bus to change to the color of the bus.
 
They did not.  And would not.
 
Further testing on a legacy X2 project and the track colors would follow the bus colors.

    I'd be interested to know if you stumble upon other such bugs, Dave. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm looking forward to potentially reworking a bunch of old Sonar projects on X3.

    It's hit or miss on whether the tracks will follow the bus color.  I just opened a X2 legacy project and the tracks wouldn't follow the bus colors.  There must be a reason that this behavior is triggering.

    Turns out there is a control on each track where you set the color - that vertical bar in the track header - where there is a setting to choose a color or "default". Well, click and hold "default and up pops a list (of two) where you can then choose "follow bus".  I don't know why it is hit or miss. I wish it were quick groupable.
     
    Edit: just noticed in Dan Gonzalez's blog article that it is quick-groupable

    Don't know how some projects got tracks toggled as "default".  At least I know how to quick group the tracks and set them to "follow bus."

    In the preferences ('P') for color, there is a "track defaults" button. Maybe setting that to "follow bus" will apply to tracks from old projects. Maybe?
