Cakewalk charging for shipping on a download??!?

Hi guys

Hopefully a really quick one!  I'm just trying to purchase the X3 update (I'm running X2a) and I'm based in the UK.  I selected GBP and added the download to my shopping cart (along with the 3hr tutorial video, also advertised as a download).  At the point of payment it's then trying to add "£22 international shipping" to the total fee!!!!

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this please?  Grateful for any advice.

Cheers, Bill

Did you buy the boxed version?

Is the Video a download or is that boxed?

Could this be how they are including the VAT?

I was charged £119.00 for the X3a download with no box, zero shipping.  The video is downloadable so shouldn't attract shipping either.

I would hope not as they have already built that into the price for UK customers. I do wonder if it will go back to zero if the OP goes to the next stage of the transaction. I've had this before with other companies where it adds it and then removes it again once it sees that there are no shippable items.

Thanks for the views guys (THIS forum is what makes Sonar the DAW of choice IMHO!)

The video tutorial is showing as 'electronic downloadable item', however it's the X3 Studio upgrade which is attracting the £22 shipping fee (even though the subject line of the product says 'download'......).  I guess I'll have to check in with Cake tomorrow, as this is definitely not correct, can't be.  I've also tried going through to the point of payment, however that £22 shows there, it's not deducted later in the process).

Can't believe I'm the only one seeing this.....anyone else noticed this at all?

Thanks for confirming Karhide - the only difference here is that I'm after X3a Studio and not Producer.  This seems to be the one with problems.....

I'll call Cake tomorrow I guess

    Hi Bill,

I wanted to see what exact SKUs you were trying to purchase but your shopping cart currently has a different item in it (X2 Producer to X3 Producer which you won't qualify for). Can you provide the SKUs you're adding so I can ask around? I might not get a response for you right away depending on who is available but I can at least start digging in.

    Best regards,

We've isolated this issue and we are going to be fixing it.  I apologize for this. We will not be charging for the shipping costs regardless of what your confirmation order says. If in fact it does show on your bank statement that you are getting charged for shipping please PM me/email in to customer support/call customer support.
