[Updated] SONAR X3 on Sweetwater
I can't seem to find the purchase option for a new copy of X3 via Sweetwater. Does anyone know if Pyro counts towards being a registered customer for the upgrade options?

Thanks for the info! The store seems to be dead right now, but I'll check it out ASAP. I've got the GAS for X3 but this is making it difficult; Hopefully the tank doesn't run out.

Well, today it looks like they added 4 new options to bring the total of options to 15 upgrades for X3, but so far no X2 Producer to X3 Producer for $149

Well, the are making some progress, they now have an option for the X2 Pro to X3 Pro for $149, but it looks like it is for a boxed version. Is there any other online retailer who is supposed to offer Sonar X3 upgrade downloads? I haven't found one other that Sweetwater, and of course the Cake Store....

I would imagine that there is no restriction on purchasing. My guess is that it asks for your existing serial when you install and checks online for registration - If it doesn't match up, you're boned and just wasted $150....

Just contacted my sales rep at Sweetwater (Derek Senestraro if you need one), and was able to get the electronic download version of the Sonar X2 Producer to Sonar X3 Producer upgrade for $149 on my Sweetwater account. No problem at all, could not have been any quicker or easier. Already halfway through my download!

In the UK you can buy it new as a download from Plugin Boutique. We just shipped X3 last week so will be a little lag time in getting products to Europe and then on the shelves.

I agree, but unfortunately buying from DV is no longer supporting a local shop unless you happen to live near the only one they haven't closed. :( Following what seems to have happened there, having been a loyal customer for many years I no longer feel inclined to purchase from them. I also read that any money they make is chanelled through Germany, so it's not even supporting the UK economy by as much as it should be.

so I just purchased the download version from sweetwater and I opened my online invoice and see an activation code on it will they send me a downlaod link?

Just got my big Sweetwater ProGear catalog for Winter 2014, and they're still advertising X2 (p. 432), no mention of X3. Strange for Sweetwater, they're usually on top of their game. Maybe trying to clean out the rest of their X2 stock first?

I'd not realised they'd closed etc. http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/community/customer-services/dv247-closes-7-of-its-8-stores-is-bought-out-by-german-company last thing I bought was in March, last time I spoke to them and they wouldn't price match with guitar guitar and the bloke selling didn't care.. so I did have words with their head office. guitar guitar in glasgow were far better. there are a few places in London (if thats where you are) that are still around , decks in cricklewood being one and studiospares in neasden. I am needed to get 2 upgrade for my other DAW stuff, so will go shopping / price matching. It's not their fault they got bought out by a german company , I was hoping they'd all learn from with what happened with turnkey years back and keep the stock levels very low... least some of the staff still have jobs.
