Some weird issues with X3

Hi guys, i've been using X2 for a while without any major problems. I got X3 yesterday and opened a project that I've been working on X2 for a couple of weeks. I was soloing some busses and turning on effects and then the fader meters went all the way to the red in the main buss and some other buses. And then the sound disappears. I was able to get the sound back by turning off the prochannel in the main bus but it would go silent when I turned it on again. But sometimes the only way to get sound back is to close and reopen the project.

The application has not crashed so I cannot send a crash report. But this happened randomly with this project even after closing the application. I also reset the vsts and re-scanned them. After much frustration I deleted all the plugins in the project and started adding them again. So far things appear ok, but I haven't been able to work on that project. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

I'm only using Waves and Cakewalk plugins. I have an RME fireface UC with the latest drivers. And again, almost never have had a problem with X2.

Thanks

I guess you mean unchecking "replace vst2......"? Because I tried everything else. I'll try that. Thanks!

Ok, I unchecked the "replace vst2 .." option.  I thought this fixed the problem.  Everything was going fine until I inserted the Sonitus Reverb in one track.  Then I got no sound, and the only way to get the sound back was disabling the ProChannel in the main bus.  This was one of the plugins that I was using before.   I closed the project and instead of the Sonitus I used the Blue Tubes reverb and I have been working on the project without any problems.

So it appears that the Sonitus plug ins (at least the reverb) is causing problems in my system. I've never had a problem like this before with any of the previous versions of Sonar (user since Sonar 5).  Has anybody experienced any problems like this?

I don't have X3 yet but..... it's been my own personal experience, going from Sonar Producer 8.3.2 to X2a Producer, that the X series is MUCH pickier with plugins. I had to dump some of my old stand-by plugs just to get X2 to work. Had to buy some new, more modern ones to replace them.

I don't have Waves so I can't check the combination, but Sonitus Reverb seems to be working fine for me in X3.
