I agree! Somehow it feels as if the darkness has lifted! I just hope this kind of interaction continues after the launch of X3. I remember how unprepared Cake seemed when they launched X1 and X2. It is great to see so many posts from the administrators here. We have not had this in a long while. It is sort of sad that all this work was done under the Roland flag only for the credit to be soaked up by Gibson-Tascam.

I wouldn't worry too much about Roland. I don't think they ever embraced Sonar or the people who develop it. Evidence of the outpouring of company participation on this forum right now. More than I can ever remember. It's a breath of fresh air... On the note of the OP topic - I think the Cake folks have hit this out of the park. I see productivity and creativity increasing dramatically here. #greatjobcakewalk

I got to admit, you may not have seen cakewalks presence in the forums over the past 4 or 5 months, but its very clear they were very much reading what users wanted and they showed up and put up for this version. there are many features added in that users were asking for. right now I cant think of anything else id want different, im sure I will over the next few weeks examine more and find some features id like enhanced hopefully in the next version cant believe I just said that (next version) lol. but im very happy. I am however a wee bit bewildered by some users who are still upset about cakewalk not releasing another patch for x2 and are making their presence here on the forum only to make negative statements. just remember don't test it, use it. have fun and be productive, don't over analyze everything or make rash threads until you are positive you know exactly how the feature works. ive seen more than one thread with harsh titles only to find they were just confused about the way a function worked or the change in behavior of that said feature. people are trying to be the first to report a problem rather than check the features uses (not referencing the help docs) not speaking to anyone in general by the way :)

I'm piqued. I'm more interested in whether or not this will continue for the long term. If it does, then good on them and I very well may continue down the Cakewalk road. I'm very interested to see how they will handle patches and if it's going to be a continuous thing or whether it will be back to one or two patches a version. I just truly hope this isn't a situation of trying to make sales then they will drop off the face of the earth again. :\ Trying really hard to be optimistic, just hard when you consider everything.

Great news! I will be downloading X3 on Friday this week, had major car repairs done last week so tight on cash, and it's so nice to be hearing all the positive feedback from X3 users. Thank you to all the Sonar developers and administrators. Clint (finally cooling off in Las Vegas)

I am liking it so far. I was pretty happy with X2 and thought I may sit out X3 but it seems like a major update and I went ahead and upgraded. Dispite the nay sayers saying its just a bunch of bundled third party plug ins, when you look at it, they have addressed many of the common feature requests that have been made here over the past 12 months.
