Addictive Drums special offer?

I just checked the Addictive Drums site and now they're offering a free expansion when you buy - apparently when you register you can pick one. I'd be interested to know if I need to feel cheated because I bought and downloaded X3 Producer yesterday (and AD too) and I don't think that offer was present on their site then. Does anyone know if this was supposed to work for Sonar editions too?

You didn't buy Addictive Drums - you bought Sonar. You aren't going to get a free expansion pack when something is bundled with another product (unless the company is out to lose money!). Be happy with the drums and don't feel cheated.

Uhh, AD is $179 all by itself. You paid at max $150 for Sonar which came with AD and you feel ripped off? :|

I don't feel ripped off at all. I'm glad with my purchase and would've gotten X3 even without AD. I was just wondering if the free extra pack also applied to Sonar customers (since it seems we got an otherwise regular license) and if I missed it just because I installed it half a day too early.
I would feel somewhat annoyed if that were the case, which I'm sure you could understand.
By the way, Addictive Keys is on sale for like 30 bucks at Musician's Friend right now, if anyone's interested.

Wow! Thanks for the tip Sanderxpander. Just ordered on MF.

This is the Studio Collection with grand, upright and Rhodes pianos. Normally $179-for $29!!
As the MF rep said to me 'Yeah, that's a crazy deal."

Will ship tomorrow from Kansas City boxed & I should have it here in CA by the weekend. Wonder what I'll be doing this weekend.....

There has been a lot of discussion about the best piano plug in for a good price.  I would still recommend Ivory or True Keys, but $30 bucks for Addictive is a steal.  Ivory is more than 10x as much for the three grand piano set.

Wow, this is really a great deal then. I paid a LOT more for it when It came out and I felt it was a good deal then. massive amount of control over the sounds and is very mix friendly. As a stand alone sound, I still think that Ivory is king but for 30 bucks??

Yeah no kidding. With shipping to The Netherlands it's 54 euros but that's still an absolute steal.
My friend has Ivory and I do like it a lot... But it's too expensive and I don't have an iLok either yet. I also have a Korg Kronos with some nice grands but it's a hassle to hook up as I usually gig with it.
Hopefully AK is a nice solution for me. A lot of it is in the playing and processing too.

I just looked on Musician's Friend and I suspect this deal may be misunderstood.  If I am reading this correctly, wha tis being sold for $29 is an add-on for those who already own the product.  Has anyone purchased this?

Thanks for the heads up on the AD keys sale at Musician's Friend, I ordered it right away. Too good to pass up. Three piano's including an upright ?? and a Steinway D ?? I don't have an upright sample program... For $29 bucks, this is an absolute no brainer !!

I listened to some of the demo's on their site, and it sounds very good !!

No it includes the engine. One guy says you "you need lots of other stuff" and "it's not stand-alone". I suspect he meant a DAW and even then he seems to have missed the stand-alone player. Other buyers commented on this. Haven't received my box yet but seems entirely legit and just a great deal.

Just to confirm. The offer for Addictive Drums on their site is for retail purchases. It wouldn't apply to SONAR X3 Producer purchases. Still a great deal though to get a full version included with SONAR X3 Producer so hopefully you see the positive.

Yeah that Addictive Keys deal seems good.  Almost too good.  I'm a little curious about what "promo pak" means.  It seems kind of strange to label it that way if it is in fact the full version.

Thanks for the clarification. I kinda assumed that but I've missed a few promotions by inches in the past and it can be really annoying.

I'm only going by what the reviews on the Musician's Friend site state but a couple literally state it includes the full version with three models (Steinway D, Upright, Mk1 73).

I thought the same thing, so asked the question at another forum where others had ordered it and were commenting.  I was assured it was the full package.

I seem to be missing Addictive Drums after installing Sonar X3 Producer.

Is it loaded during the program install or as an extra download?

You should have a copy of the 05_XLN_Audio_Addictive_Drums_Download_Instructions.rtf
That provides instructions on how to download Addictive Drums from the XLN site.
