Ok i have recorded my audio track that i want to fade in and dragged the crossfader accross my track but it does fade in from quiet slowly and it is still quite loud? A volume envelop may work best in this situation. #2

Hover the mouse over the fade's maximum level until you see a red triangle, like what you see when you want to drag the end or beginning of the fade.
