X-3 help and opinions

hello everyone, holy crap, X-3? I've been using X-2 since the beginning, I had X-1 then the free upgrade when X-2 became available. my question is this, how big of a deal is it to go from X-2 to X-3?? from what I've seen so far X-3 has quite a few things that I thought X-2 was lacking however I would appreciate opinions from anyone about upgrading to X-3. also, I wonder if Scott Garrigus will be releasing one of his books on X-3 because I've used his books on SONAR 6 and X-1, they are invaluable, I absolutely need one, I wonder if I should wait for Scott to publish before I upgrade? please tell me what you all think. thanks so much

You'll be waiting for several months for Scott to finish writing the book for X3.

If the features included with X3 float your boat then I'd say go for it!!

I'm only holding back because of financial constraints (another long, boring story)

From what I've read, the download & installation are quite painless, and there seem to be a large number of core engine enhancements as well as the advertised "goodies"

I did the same thing. Bought X1 knowing I could upgrade to X2 when it came out. I downloaded X3 last Saturday with no issues. If you're comfortable with X2, have read Scott's book, then X3 will be like an old friend, albiet with a lot of great features. I really like the Melodyne interface, (I have Editor). I'm working on a project with 28 channels and the colors have really helped as opposed to a wall of gray.

A very large percentage of Scott's X2 book will also apply to X3
