Mixing projects recorded in X1/X2

I plan on installing X3 as time permits between sessions.
I do not have any clients at the time that I am willing to attempt to record on a brand-new DAW, so I'd like to at least try my hand at mixing in X3.
 
Has anyone successfully used X3 to mix projects started, or completely recorded, in a previous version of Sonar?  I actually am still using X1, as X2 was completely unusable to me (workflow, and a few show-stopper bugs that all seem to have been cleared up, workflow included as can be seen in videos I've watched).
