Volume and Pan all reset with a + after them ???

Sonar 8.5.3 (and X1) in the track view the Volume sliders on all tracks went to 0+, literally a zero with a plus sign after it. All the the midi track volumes went to 101+. All the pan sliders on all the audio tracks went to C+, so the horizontal bar is either maxed at 0 (volume) or central (the panning). I've no idea what this means, and the docs don't make any mention of this in the track view as far as I can tell. It's not clear to me if my mix is lost because the settings don't seem to have changed, just the display (but obviously I don't know what the values are are). Help!
