[Answered] Downloading X3 Producer Today - Need some advice...

Hi All

I am very excited to be downloading X3 Producer today (woo hoo!) but I am in the UK on a relatively slow broadband

I already have 8.5 and X2a Producer installed so I am guessing I don't need to re-download Dimension again? (is it the same version?)

Also, are all of the "loops & one shots" exactly the same as X2a Producer or is there new content?

I want to minimise my download size but I do not want to miss out on anything

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Boydie

You don't need to redownload either. The loops & one shots files even have an X2 icon.

Just check that Dim Pro is v1.5.
The multisamples released around the time of the update to.1.5 also include some.sample updates which correct the previous bass samples. If your Dim Pro was installed with.x2 you should be ok. If it was the one with 8.5 then at the very least youll need update Dim Pro. In the Cakewalk support knowledge base there are instructions.

I'm in the UK too and had no trouble with d/l - I used Firefox - however, my Avast AV flagged-up pts 2 & 3 as suspicious so I switched it off during d/l - afterwards I ran a malware etc scan. Apart from that, everything went swimmingly. Be sure to d/l ALL of Addictive Drums - I think there's over a million bytes or something. Good luck.

    1) Deinitely get a download manager to deal with potential pauses in downloads.
    2) Check that the MD5 hash checks are correct after downloading before you try the install.
(there are forum posts on both of these topics)

Dim Pro 1.5 is the same as X2, as are the loops and one shots, so no need to download them.
