Spectrosonics Trillian
Anyone using this... If forgot I even owned Trilogy until I went through my software library and found my copy. I can upgrade for $99... just wondering if it's worth it?

Trilian is about all you'll ever need for bass in a VSTi...well maybe 99%...very very amazing

Larry Trillian is excellent - I upgraded from trilogy - it is a worthwhile upgrade. I play bass but still use it!! Cheers Nigel

Thanks guys....that's what I wanted to hear... I used to use Trilogy, but kind of put in on the backburner... I know, at the time Trilogy was the "go to"... but kind of got out of touch with it...so, when I get past the "hurdles" I'm jumping right now I'll probably have to pick this up....I have several other things that I need to get before this, and can't even get those...so, who knows...maybe they'll have a sale?

Trilian is great if you can swing it. The bass is awesome and it does a whole lot more.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I got a 20% discount a year ago, but they're not known for it generally, so I if it starts to appear with big discounts I would take that as an indication that it is about to be superceded. Even at full price it's worth it all day every day.

Yes, it's good and, as pointed out, they don't often do reductions on their stuff. I bought Trilogy at discount along with a free upgrade to Trilian, which was a bit of a result. Lucky timing back then. Not easy to overhaul it with a new big bass product. It's pretty full-on as it is. I think Stylus RMX could be overhauled quite significantly. I'm kinda surprised they didn't do that.

Only thing I miss in Trillian is a Ric bass. couldn't find one when going through all the patches in the library. If you have/use Omnisphere Trillian is really a worthy upgrade as you can use all of Trillian in Omnisphere and apply all the FX. Makes two really great library plugins even greater.

It's been long enough since the major updates to Atmosphere-to-Omnisphere and Trilogy-to-Trilian and the last update of RMX that ol Spectrasonic's is due for another round of jaw dropping upgrades. Frankly I'm surprised they haven't done anything in the last couple of years. Bet ol Eric and the fellers have something big a comin.

I'm with StrikinglyHandsome - RMX needs a rethink and an upgrade without any doubt. Great idea that I actually own but find difficult to use - I got it the same time as I got my original atmosphere / trilogy iirc - some kind of deal somewehre - long time ago! - obviously I upgraded atmosphere and trilogy but waiting for a major change to RMX Nigel

Eric is working on some Omni patch recatorizing and rating system - has been working on it for a long time. Eric at one point also said that they were looking into Omni using User samples but not sure about it. saying and producing is one thing, so who knows. Eric's FB page had a bunch of posts about sampling so something is brewing.
