X3 - getting midi output from a synth to another track - no way to get that working...

Tried according to help - hear s soft synth's MIDI output through another track.
From an audio track I can select input from a synth.
And basically you do the same with midi track - select input from a synths midi out - but no action.
Synths output is checked for midi out as it should be
Echo is on
I also controlled that unchecking midi out - removed the selected input from that synth - so that is in order.

I also tried the variation below in help - to record - but that is the same - no action

Tried these things both live input as well as recorded data on source synth data.

If anybody use this kind of routing it would be good to narrow down.
Thanks.

what synth are you using.  the more info we have the better.  i use reaktor a lot, but you can only do one midi out synth at a time otherwise the data becomes corrupted.
so, if you can provide more detailed info about what tools you're using i can be in a position to help.

    Thanks.

I used for testing and in this case DimensionPro, AddictiveKeys,IndependencePro and Waves Element.
And only one used midi out was forwarded to one other track.

I was to experiment to use VST midi plugins in some way, when I discovered this.
I started with DimensionPro on an audiotrack and tried getting midi to that - no luck using input selection, only when directing output from another midi track.

Then I did by the book, to see if midi out worked at all - and no luck there either.
Checked with synths and midi monitor plugins.

If description is too vague, just let me know.
Al is done i x64 X3 basic - if some code disappeared or even is a limitation on that version.

I'll give this a bump and see what it brings.

I tested with two Dimension Pro instances as well - and no luck.
Got a reject(as usual) with problem report saying to contact tech sup.
So I did and will see what that brings - unless sonarites have a better suggestion?

I do the same thing i Studio One, same approach - and it works.
