Exporting as an mp3

Hi folks,
Is the add-on mp3 conversion tool sold by Cakewalk a valuable asset to Sonar X2?  I don't mind spending a little money for something that is very helpful.  I have a version of Goldwave that I can use to convert .wav's to mp3 format.
 
Thoughts please.

    It really only does that - make an mp3. So you can ruin your mixes a little bit quicker. If you already have a program and don't mind the extra step...

    EDIT there's also a post on here on how to use the free LAME mp3 encoder.
