PRV: View Settings Keep Reverting To Default

Hello Everyone,

Every time I open a PRV view, I keep seeing the velocity lines in with the notes.  I'd rather see them in a parameter bar at the bottom instead of seeing them with the notes.   I have to always uncheck "Show Velocities".   No matter what I do, it keeps opening up like this, even if i lock a screen set.

If anyone has anything for me on this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Adam

You need to enable show controller pane as well.

This is one of several longstanding issues with settings in the PRV that do not persist when it's docked. What you need to do is:

    1. Set a drum map for the output of the MIDI track so there's a point in showing the drum pane.
    1. Right-click on PRV tab in the dock, and choose Undock
    2. Click the icon in upper left corner of the PRV window, and choose Disable Floating.
    3. Toggle the state of Show/Hide Drum Pane, leaving it enabled.
    4. Re-dock the PRV.
    5. Re-maximize the project window.

The Drum Pane status should now be preserved for that MIDI track's PRV.

Me to. I'd like to have my velocities in parameter bar. I've seen it in a YouTube vid but there were no comments enabled for the vid. So no luck there. But it can be done. Just YouTube "editing midi data in cakewalk sonar 8.5" he even adjusts the velocities in the seperate window.

Try to create a template with your own settings and start your project with that.  Or start with a blank project...

Never have had this issue before (IIRC). It's probably a version-specific bug (I use the base version). On the other hand, I see the very issue in the Inline PRV.

    Shift+C, isn't it?
