What will X3 do to VVocal clips?

Just got X3 producer running. Some projects open perfectly, others crash immediately. Just wondering if VVocal has something to do with that, and how does X3 deal with it?

If anything VVocal projects work better in X3 since there are tons of improvements in that area. There are more detailed notes here discussing about region FX.
Does the same project with VVocal open in X2A fine and do you see the VVocal GUI?
If not its likely that the VVocal installation is damaged - see this post for some more details. The VVocal folder has some resources and extra dlls. If those are missing then it will crash.

Maybe the problem isn't VVocal. Did you report this issue via the problem reporter? If so please list the CWBRN.

Hi Noel, still just fiddling, not testing or comparing yet.

I reported via the automatic reporter every time it crashed. Not sure about the CWBRN, but that's OK. Not sure if VVocal was even the problem. Just glad VVocal will still come up in X3 - that was my concern for existing projects.

The projects that crashed had heaps of plugs in, could have been anything. Plus I have switched from X2 Producer 32bit to X3 Producer 64bit. I'm sure Sonar is going to have some fun with all that!

I did notice that my existng Blueverb 2080 (which I already had) does not recall the settings in X3 correctly..

I'm sure it'll all iron out.. downloading X3b now.

Have you tried opening your projects in safe mode in an effort to try and rule out plugins as the cause? I'd try that. First go round: load no plugins. If that works, selectively start loading only some plugins until you find the cause of the crash. If it's a plugin, report it to both Cakewalk and the developer. If all plugins load fine and the project still crashes, report it to Cakewalk.

Thats waves right? If so that was a VST3 issue that is fixed in X3B.
Edit: Never mind - I see that Blueverb is Nomad factory. If its still crashing after X2B file a bug report and list the CWBRN.
Also if you use UAD you definitely need X3B.

OK Noel, X3B installed, but still no luck with Blueverb recalling the correct settings. And still no luck with opening certain projects.. Another auto report sent.
