X3 - customize the track view

Every time the new version of Sonar comes out - i run into this problem - and then forget the solution.
 
I need to customize my track view; what is the process for doing this? I vaguely recall dragging items on and off the track headers(?).

    The Track Control Manager is the last selection in the drop down just below the menus in the track view.
