Custom key bindings don't stick

I set up several custom key bindings and changed a lot of the defaults to bindings that were a little more intuitive (for me). The problem is, they randomly stop working or revert back.
 
For instance, I changed "P" from opening the preferences window (default) to toggling the bus pane and then set CTRL+P to open the preferences window. It works for a while and then reverts back, without me having closed the project or SONAR. Then it'll suddenly start working again, all within the same session. I set the "Save for next session" options and also I can see in the binding dialog it's listed to do what I set it to do but the actual action executed is still the default. Also, bindings I set to do nothing will disappear from being shown on the menus (which is desired) but then suddenly show up again, beside my custom bindings, crowding the menu. Some won't disappear at all, such as NUM5
 
I have found nothing on this and am wondering if anyone else is having this issue. It's been happening for a while (a few years now) but I'm now p*ssed off enough to ask for help. It completely breaks my creative flow when I hit a key expecting a certain action to take place but something else happens instead.
 
This is X1 Producer, 32-bit on Win7 32-bit.
