X3 Producer W/2 Hardrives ?

Hey fellows I recently just up-graded again to X3 Producer and have 8.5,X1, X2a on this computer in Windows 7 and have recently just installed another Sata 1TB 7200 HD to the mix and it's loaded ready to go.
Can you guys give me some details of what I should put where and how to do it.

I have X3 downloaded on my hardrive but have not unzipped them yet for execution.

Install SONAR on the system drive, move your audio projects (default is "Cakewalk Projects") to a folder on the new drive. Configure SONAR Preferences > Audio > File > Folder Location "Projects Files" to the new Cakewalk Projects folder on the new drive. Make sure to update the older versions "Folder Location" entries as well.

Thanks for the reply ! Sounds pretty easy so I'm also going into 8.5--X2a and putting those project files on the new drive also ? Should I do seperate folders for each Program ?

It is up to you. Keeping them separate would remove the question about which DAW created the project. This might be handy when an issue comes up opening an old project in newer software. Usually it is a good idea to work from a copy of an old project when opening newer software so separate folders might help there too. Just because you define a project folder, nothing prevents opening projects in other folders.

On my Backup external drive I have my folders labeled
    Sonar 7 32
    Sonar 8.5 32
    Sonar 8.5 64

That way If I go digging for an old project I'll remember which version I had used and what to expect when I open it.
I'm just glad I don't upgrade every year like some folks seem hell bent to do 'round here. LOoks like Sonarx4 for me,, whoops, sorry, looks like "Tascam Professional V2  "  for me.

Thanks a bunch scook I really appreciate the help and Cactus Music it really doesn't matter how you do it as long as you are content with what you got is all that matters.

I keep telling myself this is the last upgrade and then I like certain things about the upgrade that pulls me in like hook line & sinker but I really like some of the features in X3 like going straight to You Tube with a video is pretty cool. I still open stuff I did in 8.5 all the time and it brings back fond memories and works just fine.
