Problem importing MIDI file

Hello,

I'm having a problem importing MIDI files/maps I downloaded from a media company who I'm going to create some music for them for their video content. Unfortuantly when I try and load the provided MIDI files/maps they don't appear and there's no sign of any changes to Sonar X2 Producer. The only acknowledgement of a MIDI file/map is that a MIDI track pops up.

Could someone please help me with this problem?

Thanks

Liam

Try using File > Open instead of importing.
You might also want to look at the event list once the file is in SONAR.

Like Steve said, you always "open" a MIDI file if you want to retain all the original information like tempo. Importing will simply put the basic data in the track you had focused on.
PS this is not the correct forum for x series it is for the older 8.5 and earlier versions, but I doubt if the midi import function has changed since. .
