Page up and Page Down (mouse wheel Scrolling) doesnt work in X3b

In X2, you can page up (scroll up) in the track view to hide all the track except for one or 2 and you can also do the same with the mouse wheel. In X3b, it doesn't work that way. In X3b you can only scroll only to show 3 tracks, instead of only showing one track. you cannot scroll up all the way anymore!!!

Firs they take away you able to see 4 sends, now there taking away a simple scroll function? what gives???
Stop taking stuff out! it doesn't make sense to take things away. I just do not understand the thinking behind this..

I thought that was weird too. Realistically, you should be able to scroll to nothing in the track view.

I would vote for a complete scroll up and down.

I'd like to specify what I think the behavior change is to make sure I understand.

In X2 You can scroll so that only one track is showing in the tracks part of track view and scroll so that only one bus is showing in the bus part of track view regardless of the height of the track or bus relative to the size of the pane it is displaying in.

In X3, the behavior in both the bus and track pane has been changed so that...
    1. you can never scroll such that you use less than half of either the tracks or the bus pane.

This change goes along with the change to scrolling where tracks can now be partially displayed when scrolling, giving a more intuitive scrolling behavior. Previously, scrolling never showed a partial track, but when tracks had different sizes it could be confusing when scrolling because scroll pace would change due to the size of the tracks.

Further, and this seems like a bug, if you
    1. enlarge the bus pane to make the tracks pane smaller
    2. Scroll the tracks pane so only one track is showing - currently 1/2 the tracks pane since the bus pane is enlarged
    3. hide the bus pane - now the one track showing is taking up less than 1/2 the tracks pane
    4. Copy the screen-set to a new screen-set number with ctrl+2
    5. then shift screen-sets, screen set 2 will not continue to show the single track, nor will screenset 1.
    6. Locking the screen sets doesn't help.
I created this bug report... CWBRN-20406.

Let me clarify. In X2 i can scroll up or so that i can only see one track at the top of the Track View wit a project of let say 15 tracks. But, in X3 i cannot do this. You can only scroll so that 3 tracks show at the top of the track view.

sometime i just liker 1 track to show in a project of more than 5 tracks.

i do not know if its a bug or they just decided to go backwards and take away options that X2 and the other 9 Sonars had.

    Thanks GSwitz

No Prob, CJ. I submitted a bug and they responded that they have altered it to a feature request.

Specifically my bug report called out that you couldn't have just one track at the top in a saved screenset and have that persist through screenset switches.

The whole idea was there though. They have clearly made it so that neither the buses in the bus pane nor the tracks in the track pane can be scrolled to take up less than half the available space in the pane.

Meanwhile you can show just one track by hitting Shift+Ctrl+H, I think.

    Tak T.

    Thanks Gswitz for submitting it.

I found another bug. when you select 2 or more clips and then Process - Reverse the clips, the picture of the clips go out of sync. The audio still plays where its suppose to be, but the representation of the wave file goes down a few measures and all there is is blank space where the reversed clips should be.

This doesn't happen when you just Process - Reverse 1 clip

CJ that's a super random bug to find. :-) I think I could use Sonar for another 10 years without bumping into it. giggle. Nice find!!

CJ, as an additional work around, you could add an extra track at the bottom (or group of tracks) so that you can scroll your actual last track to the top position.

I know this isn't what you want, but just thinking on it.
