Anyone who own a Yamaha MX49 ?

I recently buy'd the yamaha MX49 synth, but there is one problem !

when recording audio in sonar, from the MX49 the lvl is very low.
it peaks at around -20 db and RMS lvl is about -30 db

I have read some in the manual, and can only find lvl adjust
for the line L -R outs etc, but nothing about USB lvl output.

I have been searching the internet as well, but without finding

any solution.

Yamaha is almost impossible to get in contact with in the US also here in norway.
so i had to write an email to the "local "dealer in norway where buy'd the MX49
not sure if i will get any solution, or if it exist at all !

Anyway if someone own a MX49 , maybe you can help me here ?

are you running the MX49 directly into the Yamaha Ci1?  are you using the high impedance switch?  turn it off if you are.

You can always post on Motifator.. the Yamaha representative "BadMister" is highly knowledgeable.

I suspect the signal is being passed over USB pre-D/A conversion in the synth. In this case there shouldn't be any excess noise component to be worried about in the signal so have you tried just turning the gain up on the audio track on Sonar?..
