trouble copying RPN(CC1) to another track? :(..

hm.. I went to piano roll view, copied RPN, clicked on another track and pasted

Rpn value would be copied onto the same track.. could anyone tell me what I might want to try?
PS: I made sure to click on aother track from piano roll view and track view
