copying expression(cc1) to another track?

I try to copy and paste expression of one track to another and it keeps pasting on the same track even though I made sure to click on a different track..
 
isn't it possible to copy and pasted CC1 to another track in sonar?

    Yes. Select the track, press CTL-C. In the dialog, un-check everything except "Track/Bus Automation", select the target track and press CTL-V. Make sure you specify 1.01.000 as the starting time if you're copying the whole track.

    that's assuming the cc1 data is automation, not ccs in the midi clips.  if it's in the clips. lasso the automation in prv, then in track view control click the midi clip(s) and drag it to a new midi track.

    Make sure you are putting the track "in focus" not selecting it - there is a difference. Sonar always pastes to the "in focus" track by default. Use the advanced paste choice (Alt+Ctrl+V) to choose options, including target track.
