Axiom 61 drum pads

Anyone know how to assign specific notes to the drum pads on an Axiom 61 keyboard controller?
I pull up some percussion on Dimension Pro and find that 1/2 the pads trigger nothing so I'd like to assign them as I see fit but have no idea how :(

Don't know the first thing about the controller but creating drum maps in SONAR is pretty easy and could be used to assign the pads to any note you want.

The pressure pads are completely configurable on the Axiom controllers. You can assign them to either notes or to CCs. Refer to the user documentation for programming the pads (IIRC it's kinda obtuse, so you'll want to save it as a preset so you only have to do it once!).

To discover the default note assignments, just record to a MIDI track while hitting the pads and see where the notes land. You can then elect to skip programming the controller and use a drum map to reassign the notes. Consult the SONAR help file for instructions on creating a drum map, which is actually easier than programming the keyboard.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I believe there are step by step instructions on how to do this in the Axiom manual.  I successfully did it for Axiom 49 and I don't recall it being difficult (but I also don't remember the steps).
