X3 Can't find V-vocal anymore (or find melodyne for that matter) Have X1, X2
Hi, I need to fix up a few take lane clips in my multi-lane vocal track. I went to use V-vocal on a take (clip), but when i right click on the take i don't see V-vocal in the menu now in X3. How Do I Access V-Vocal In X3?  Related issue: I haven't figured out how to apply Melodyne to a take lane either. How do i access Melodyne for a take lane (clip)? For anything? It does not show up in the 'Region Effects' menu... The video shows it there but in my menu. I am able to load Melodyne into a track's effects rack though... but still can't assign it to a clip region. I've watched the Melodyne videos. Thanks guys.

VVocal is now accessed from the Region FX menu

Thanks guys. So here's my X3 'Region FX' menu. * Perfect Space * Ferric (tape sim) * ReValverIII demo There is no V-Vocal or Melodyne in the list. yet as i mentioned i can load Melodyne into the effects rack (?), and tracks that already have V-vocal on them from when i used X2 show up and work just fine in X3. I never had any problems with V-vocal in X2

So you don't see Melodyne or V-Vocal in the Region FX dropdown . . .
but you can add Melodyne in EFX rack as a VST3 plugin . . . did you own a version of Melodyne before the upgrade from X2 to X3 ?

Ya, that's right. And I have Never had melodyne or tried a demo with X1, X2 or X3. I looked in the bar near the top, and also looked with a right click menu on the clip - no Melodyne, no V-Vocal. Melodyne editing window opens (but empty) when it is in the effects rack and i double click on it...

Just wondering, do you see any other VST3 plugins available in your X3 ?
When I did the X3 Upgrade install, there was an option to select VST3, or not.
Also, my V-vocal works the same in X3, except that they put it in Region FX
Something may have happened during your upgrade install, because my Melodyne and V-Vocal came up right away after install . . . in Region FX.
Oh, and you did the VST re-scan after install ?

Thanks scook, noynekker. The 'rescan' did the trick. I got a little 'registry error' - 'please ensure this product is installed properly' pop up on the rescanning of a couple amplitube addons ('Hendrix' and 'Metal' amp models), during the rescanning process...

noynekker, I was able to see all the VST plugins in the effects rack menus, including Melodyne, but no V-Vocal anywhere.
I also watched X3 scan all the plugins [bottom right of screen] when i first ran X3, so i had assumed the plugin scanning was taken care of. I guess i was wrong about that.

IIRC, others have reported issues with amplitube while performing the X3 recan, not sure what the resolution was.

I think Vvocal is only with X2.

I think Vvocal is only with X2.
This is correct. If you uninstalled X2 or any other earlier versions of Sonar, it took V-Vocal with it. Just put in your X2 install and set it for custom install...and just install VV and nothing else. It will take 10 seconds and you'll be ok after a rescan. -Danny
