Melodyne video tutorial for only $5

FYI only....
Groove 3 is having a sale on some of their videos, one of which is for Melodyne 2.0 for only $5.   I thought I'd share this information here since we have this as part of Sonar X3...

I usually like to learn by futzing around with the software, and then digging into the manual if necessary.  But these video tutorials can be really handy, especially when they are done well and you are stuck away from your studio...

Just ordered and downloading. Don't have Melodyne yet but this will tell me if it is something I'm interested in. I thought it was mainly for vocals but I'm interested in this DNA thingy. Thanks for the heads up

Definitely a "no-brainer" for X3 Studio and Producer owners.

First I was very pleased to get the new capabilities in Sonar X3 Producer. Then the upgrade to Melodyne Editor was really attractive given what Melodyne Editor can do and the very reasonable upgrade price. So I went for it, well knowing I had no idea how to really use Melodyne.

And then Groove 3 pitches in and says how about 4 hours of high quality, detailed training on Melodyne by Eli for $5?

It's been like the perfect storm - but in a good way!

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Melodyne's website also has many detailed free videos on usage.  I have both AutoTune 7 and Melodyne.  Melodyne's tutorials make the difference.  Apparently the folks who make AutoTune figure it's someone else's job to teach you how to use it if you can't figure it out from the manual, whereas Melodyne actually has the developers explain how to use it, why it does things, etc. themselves (albeit through a translator as they are German).  That makes the product much more attractive to me.  Of course, a lot of the time if I just need a tweak here and there, I'll use VVocal, which is quite respectable also. Until the X3 integration, I saved Melodyne for the hard stuff, like removing stray notes from a track, correcting chords, etc. I am really happy to see how Melodyne now integrates with the Sonar X3 transport.  Going to be much easier to use now!
