X1 Essential No Sound

Hello all,  This maybe a sticky one,  When i opened up a new project and add audio or midi instruments or loops or mic, I see them working but no sound.  I exit and open a previous project and i have full sound and i can add new sounds to it. I exit this and open a new project, still no sound.   Time to upgrade ?. can i jump to x3.

By any chance, is the output of the Master bus set to "none" in these projects?

this sounds like a soundcard routing issue for sure.
check prefernces for your soundcard to make sure everything is jiving.
#2 look at your input/output on the tracks in the track view or console view.

Hi guys, I have checked all in/out and soundcard routing,  all green leds are pumping, no sound.  This is happening to new projects only on X1, I can hear previous projects.  Also, I have basic sonar VS that came with my VS-100, I have sound on new projects with it. I'm stumped!

It has happened to me a couple of times, but it has always been my master buss output, my devices in preferences or my recording/playback master timing in preferences.

I had X1 drop out the sound output on me completely a few months ago. The meters all still showed all of the proper volume levels, but the output was completely dead.  Running the Wave Profiler utility brought it back up. No problems since then, so I'm guessing that Sonar managed to lose touch with the internal sound card somehow.

Thanks guys for all the help,  no wave profiler led me to the Asio panel where I fiddled about and I got the sound back, Yipeee!   Thanks again guys. Danny.
