Piano velocity controller question..

Hi,

As I was mixing a song, I noticed some of the low notes on the piano players part in my project were ringing and bleeding into the next notes in a couple of places and I was baffled. I killed the verb and look at the piano roll view and saw that the velocity of all the piano notes were very high, like he was bangin' at the piano right from the beginning of the song (this is a sad ballad).

I'm trying to fix it. When I draw a straight line across the tops of the velocity controllers to make then half as high, the piano sounds better, especially in the very beginning, but, is there a way for me to preserve the varying velocity (to keep the feeling of his playing there) but just to lower the velocity as a whole. I never had to do it before.
Thanks.

The Velocity plug-in can change velocity by a value or percentage.
