ALREADY OWN ADDICTIVE DRUMS BEFORE PURCHASING X3 PRODUCER? XLN WILL DO A SWAP!!!
Hi all! As the title suggests, I hit up support@xlnaudio.com and told them that I already own Addictive Drums and that I would like to surrender the new (superfluous) Addictive Drums licence that I received from purchasing X3 in exchange for 2 ADpaks and I received this reply: Hi,Sure, I can offer you either two ADpaks (not one being Retro ADpak), the Retro ADpak or the Addictive Keys Studio Collection.Let me have the Register key you got from Sonar X3 and let me know what you want in exchange!Best regards,Simon Sigfridsson---------------------------------------XLN Audio - Support I asked for the Metal and Vintage Dry ADpaks. Gave them the Addictive Drums product key from my Cake account and boom!: HiPerfect! :) I have now added the ADpaks you requested to your account. Please download and run the XLN Online Installer to download, install, update and authorize all your XLN Audio Products in just a few clicks! Simply login to your XLN Audio Account on launch, follow the steps and you will be all set. Don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any further questions. Best regards,Gustaf Svenungsson---------------------------------------XLN Audio - Support What a class act XLN Audio!!! And nice partnership Cakewalk! Nice one indeed!!! To recap, if you already owned Addictive Drums prior to purchasing X3, you can surrender your extra Addictive Drums licence for either:a) 2 ADpaks; orb) The Retro ADpak; orc) Addictive Keys Studio Collection. For it to go this smoothly, when you email their support? Make sure you are using or that you list the email that your XLN account is linked to, so that they can verify your previous ownership and put the exchanged goodies straight into your account!!!

AD was very new when I became a client of XLN years ago. I have a very positive image of their approach to customer service. This here is really an excellent PR move.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

It looks like XLN and Celemony are both very accommodating to X3 users. Nice! If only Celemony had an alternative product to offer in lieu of the Essentials license...

Although I didn't end up buying AD when I was looking for a drum program I was extremely impressed with their customer service and if BFD didn't exist I would most definitely be an AD user. Definitely a good addition for Cake users who needed a drum program.

I had some issue with AK some days ago and mailed XLNAudio support. 20 min later I got an answer with 6 suggestions to try. Nr 4 solved the issue and I could continue make music. That's some good support!

Same here - one from S1 and one from X3. Oh well, I didn't explictly purchase either one, so I guess I shouldn't feel too bad... Oh.. and my original license came from a cheap Melodyne Uno upgrade when that was discontinued, and that license was from a cheap MBOX2 that I purchased from a coworker. I guess I really lucked out with my path to Melodyne Editor.

Pretty much my entire collection of plugs (and DAWs) has been amassed by a complex web of discounts, bonuses and get this so this comes free, kind of things. ((* I actually decided to edit this post and remove a BFD2 purchase gripe because when I re-read it, I just sound like a whinging little b*tch! Which I fear is not in the spirit of the thread at all?!! *)) And instead, in it's place I'll simply write: YAY XLN AUDIO!!!

Ditto. A Johnson JStation that came w/ Home Studio was my original upgrade path to SONAR 2. And then it was all downhill from there...

I also had Addictive Drums (plus several ADPaks) already. I actually found a guy (in France) that was willing to trade me a decent piece of software - Waldorf Lector - for my extra Addictive Drums registration code. He actually mailed me his dongle all the way from France, so that I could transfer the license to my dongle. Now I just need to find the time to mail his dongle back! -e.B

I was actually a bit shocked because it was the next day. I just took another look at the emails they sent and noticed a case number on them. So I'm not sure if you email XLN direct from your own email, if you get one of those? I'd assume so, but I've been horrifically wrong before?!! Perhaps try going to their site, click on the support tab and do the request from there. That way you will get to fill in all their boxes and you should get an automated reply that they've received it straight away. But yeah, the whole process was swift as!
